Jocelyn Enriquez

Born in San Francisco, California, Jocelyn Enriquez is a pioneering Filipino-American recording artist and a trailblazer in the Freestyle and dance-pop music scene. Emerging in the early 1990s, she became the first Filipino-American artist to achieve mainstream success, earning her recognition as San Francisco's “Queen of Freestyle.”

Discovered by Classified Records in 1993, Enriquez had been singing since the age of three, performing at family gatherings and in church. Her powerful, versatile voice was honed through a decade of formal training with the San Francisco Girls Chorus , allowing her to master multiple genres and captivate audiences across the globe.
Her 1994 debut album, Lovely, introduced dance hits like “I’ve Been Thinking About You,” “Make It Last Forever,” “Big Love,” and the Freestyle favorite “Only,” quickly earning industry acclaim and chart success. Her breakthrough came in 1996 with the single “Do You Miss Me?,” which reached #49 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a radio favorite. The song was the lead single on her second album, Jocelyn, released in 1997 by Tommy Boy Records, which also featured the hit “A Little Bit of Ecstasy,” dominating Billboard’s Dance Maxi-Singles Sales chart for six consecutive weeks and solidifying her position as a force in dance music.
In 1998, Enriquez collaborated with labelmate Amber and Strictly Rhythm artist Ultra Natè on a remake of the Gordon Lightfoot classic “If You Could Read My Mind” for the major motion picture 54. Her third album, All My Life (2003), released on her own label JEM Entertainment, featured the singles “No Way No How” and “Why,” further demonstrating her enduring appeal and versatility.
Jocelyn Enriquez’s career includes international tours spanning Canada, Brazil, Europe, Singapore, Guam, and the Philippines, and performances alongside iconic artists such as NSYNC, Salt-N-Pepa, LL Cool J, Stevie B., Destiny’s Child, Brandy, CeCe Peniston, Crystal Waters, The Fujees, Lisa Lisa, Backstreet Boys and Color Me Badd. Her music and dynamic live performances have earned praise from Billboard, BAM, and Dance Music Authority, among others.
Today, Jocelyn resides in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, Alain Macasadia, and their four children including a grandbaby, serving in full-time ministry. Music remains central to her life as she continues to explore new chapters in her remarkable career.
